EXPERIENCE
OWNER
January 2020 - Present
I was once told that my skill set was "so random" that it might be difficult to find the right role for me at the "average" company.
Enter Corbett Consulting — a conduit for offering my broad set of skills to exceptional companies looking for a steady hand when it comes to navigating the ever-expanding digital universe.
My clients are composed of an eclectic group that spans all manner of industries. However, they all have one thing in common: the desire to be the best, most capable version of themselves. So when it comes to business operations and digital solutions, they look to me and my team to help them get there.
Corbett Consulting is your strategic advantage over the competition; your tech security blanket that's always just a Slack message away.
CTO
January 2018 - Present
My role as CTO is focused heavily on producing events that gather thousands of people globally throughout the year to participate in a variety of startup-focused programs, which are now exclusively executed online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My role has required me to become an expert in a variety of online event platforms and media production products, including Zoom, Pathable, Hopin, Streamlabs OBS, Final Cut, and more.
When I’m not planning and/or executing an event with my team I’m focused on maintaining our core collaboration tools and building out workflows to make our distributed team more efficient and better connected with each other.
CTO
October 2018 - Present
As the CTO of Aircraft Services Group I have the responsibility of providing and maintaining bleeding-edge technology solutions for over 100 aviation industry end-users operating from all corners of the globe. My most critical task is ensuring our communication systems experience zero downtime so that our fleet of 20+ jets can be safely and profitably operated 24/7.
I'm also responsible for the infrastructures and strategies that power our sister companies: Tri-State Helicopter Group, Lithium Fire Guard, and Flight Line Aircraft Detailing.
FOUNDER & CEO
February 2012 - January 2020
As Founder and CEO, my focus is on growing Random Nerds by maximizing the traditional revenue streams within our industry, as well as serving our clients with sophisticated media and tech consulting services.
Between my extensive experience as an executive in the creative agency world and our Editor-in-Chief’s passion for journalism, we’ve been able to create something we think is truly unlike anything else on the web, all while helping our roster of clients do the same.
CTO
October 2016 - January 2018
At Tech.Co, my primary objectives were to ensure our millions of site visitors had the best possible user experience and that our globally-distributed team was equipped with the necessary tools to create incredible content, entertain our readers, and adequately serve our clients.
In 2018, the media portion of Tech.Co was acquired by international publishing and tech company MVF, marking my second successful exit as an executive and my first in the world of media.
CO-FOUNDER & CEO
September 2015 - August 2017
As Co-Founder and CEO of IGL, my job was to build and manage a company that produced next-level gaming events all over Louisiana, making sure to maximize the value delivered to both the gamers who supported us and the brands that sponsored our organization. In our first year (and with our first event), we ended up producing the single largest video game festival to ever take place in the state of Louisiana.
Partnering with some of the biggest names in the business – including Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and GameStop – IGL continues to produce multiple annual events aimed at student education via the medium of video game production. As a non-profit, it is fully focused on helping students in the greater New Orleans area improve their STEM skills.

COO & CSO
November 2013 - April 2015
I came to nclud to serve as its first Chief Operating Officer with an initial focus on completely overhauling the operational structure of the company in order to create a single, unified system that enhanced our service offerings and created a maximum level of efficiency. Once my operations team became self-sufficient, I focused on my role as Chief Strategy Officer; creating client proposals and pitching our services to new and existing clients.
I was in charge of scoping and executing strategy retainers; building experiential, digital, and cross-channel campaigns; and conducting both internal and client-facing ideation workshops.
I was one of the two lead members of our pitch team that closed $2M+ in new business in 2014, as well as landed two Fortune 500 companies for whom I led my team in crafting a national ad campaign.
COO
October 2008 - December 2012
I joined iStrategyLabs as the company’s first official hire, which effectively doubled the team’s size. In the very early days, I was focused on putting systems and processes in place that would allow us to handle rapid growth while also keeping our company culture in-line with our CEO’s vision.
In just 4 years, the company grew from only two people in a small apartment to a 10,000 sq ft office in Dupont Circle (Washington, DC); a home to more than 30 designers, developers, and strategists. As the Chief Operating Officer, my primary objective was to ensure our ever-growing team could consistently deliver elegant, impactful work and serve our client accounts, which totaled more than $10M dollars in gross revenue in 2012 alone.
After exiting ISL to pivot my focus onto Random Nerds, it continued its rapid growth and was eventually acquired in 2016 by J. Walter Thompson Company (part of WPP), marking my first exit from a company I helped build from the ground up.
During my time with ISL, we co-produced and managed operations and logistics for more than 40 community events, including DCWEEK, a week-long, city-wide festival with over 10,000 attendees and I contributed to dozens of client campaigns from ideation to execution, including those for: AT&T, Ford, Volkswagen, General Electric, Nasdaq, Sweetgreen, Pinkberry, and Honest Tea.
